LogVey

Digital waste tracking compliance — live, integrated with the Defra Digital Waste Tracking API, and built for UK receiving sites ahead of the October 2026 mandate.

From October 2026, every permitted waste receiving site in England, Wales and Northern Ireland must submit waste movement records digitally to Defra's Digital Waste Tracking service. LogVey is integrated with that API and has passed all 14 of Defra's Provider Acceptance Testing scenarios — with no exemptions. It handles the submission, the digital waste transfer note, EWC code classification, and carrier verification, so your site doesn't have to build any of it.

What it does

One platform. Full compliance.

Everything your site needs to meet the Digital Waste Tracking requirement — automated, integrated, and live today.

📡

Defra API submission

Every arrival you log is submitted directly to Defra's Receipt of Waste API. No manual uploads, no spreadsheets, no separate portal logins.

📄

Digital waste transfer notes

Paper WTNs are replaced with compliant digital records, generated instantly and stored for the statutory retention period.

🏷️

EWC code classification

A searchable picker covering all 841 European Waste Catalogue codes, with hazardous waste flagged clearly before submission.

Carrier verification

Carrier registration details are captured and checked at the point of arrival, so a lapsed licence doesn't slip through.

📊

Compliance dashboard

Every movement, its submission status, and anything that needs review — in one dashboard, updated in real time.

🔒

Secure 7-year retention

Records are stored securely and retrievable for the full statutory retention period. Audit-ready from your first submission.

Who it's for

Built for UK waste receiving site operators.

If you hold a permit or licence to receive waste — LogVey is built for you.

  • You hold a permit or licence to receive waste in England, Wales or Northern Ireland
  • You currently use paper waste transfer notes or manual spreadsheets
  • You need to be compliant by October 2026 and want to be ready early
  • You run a single site, with a small team logging arrivals at the gate

Roles we work with

Waste Site Operators Compliance Managers Gate Operators Site Managers Permit Holders Environmental Reporting Leads Recycling & Aggregate Yards Nurseries & Smallholdings

LogVey is built specifically for small and medium permitted receiving sites — not primarily waste companies. If you're a nursery, a recycling yard, or an aggregate site that happens to receive waste, this is built for you, not enterprise waste operators.

Why LogVey

No exemptions. No hidden pricing.

Of the providers listed on the gov.uk Defra register, LogVey is the only one that publishes its price openly and has no Provider Acceptance Testing exemptions.

The deadline

October 2026 is not optional.

The UK Government has confirmed that all permitted and licensed waste receiving sites in England, Wales and Northern Ireland must submit digitally to Defra's Digital Waste Tracking service from October 2026. Carriers follow in October 2027. Failure to comply risks penalties and reputational damage.

LogVey is already live, integrated, and listed on the gov.uk register. The system is built — what's left is getting your site connected before the deadline, not waiting for the technology to exist.

I'm Sarwar Matin — a developer with 15+ years of experience across web development, brand communication, and digital systems. I've worked on enterprise-level digital projects for Toyota, Western Union, MoneyGram, and major banking institutions.

I understand how large organisations handle compliance data, documentation, and reporting — and the gap between what regulators need and what small operators can actually deliver with the tools available to them. LogVey is built to close that gap.

LogVey took part in Defra's private beta programme, passed all 14 Provider Acceptance Testing scenarios, and is now listed on the gov.uk Defra software provider register as an integrated software provider.
